We desperately needed sheets. I had it up to here with washing our sheets every night after one of the children inevitably peed, pooped, spilled breast milk, or spit up on them. Having only one set of sheets as a parent is a HUGE mistake. A time-consuming, soul-sucking mistake. Man, I hate doing laundry. With that in mind, when I came across this awesome opportunity to buy a set of organic bamboo bedding for $20, I could not pass that up. Seriously, a set of king size sheets for $20? Amazing!
Needless to say, I was pretty darn excited for them to arrive. When they did, I saw the label claim “softest bedding on the planet,” and being the skeptic that I am, I called BS. I mean, come on, these could not possibly be the “softest” sheets on the planet. Great sheets, sure, but not the be-all-end-all of sheets.
When I touched the sheets prior to washing, I still wasn’t convinced. However, when I pulled those freakin’ sheets out of the drier, I knew I had met the be-all-end-all of sheets. In all fairness, I have no earthly idea if they actually are the softest bedding on the planet; but, I can say with absolutely no hesitation that they are the softest sheets I have ever touched in my life. A life that I have spent dedicated to finding the softest bedding; down pillows, down comforters, high thread counts, and I still have never touched anything as soft as these sheets. My mind has been officially blown. The downside is now I’m back to doing laundry every time one of the kids makes a mess on our bed because I couldn’t possibly go back to our lesser sheets now.
Well played, Cariloha, well-played.
The sheets are soft yet crisp, and cool yet snugly. They are perfectly weighted so that you sleep soundly. Ideal for hot climates, but still great in cold. They’re so fantastic that my husband even allowed us to sleep with the top sheet. We haven’t done that since BEFORE we were married except for the occasional hotel stay. Instead, we usually just use a quilt paired with the fitted sheet. Last night, we used the fitted sheet, top sheet, and quilt. It was heavenly. I was so cozy, but not overheated!
To truly get my point across: my old sheets, that were by no means low-quality, feel like canvas while the Carihola sheets feel like your favorite shirt that you’ve worn down with years and years of wear and wash. The bamboo sheets feel this way from day one. Imagine sleeping on your favorite shirt every night, and you’ll know you need these sheets.
I cannot recommend Cariloha Bamboo Bedding Sets enough! We love them so much we’re already talking about investing in a second set at full price.
