I had never tried Stevia when I agreed to review SweetLeaf. In all honesty, I had heard extremely mixed reviews many of which alluded to baked goods coming out too bitter, but since I have friends and family who have diabetes, I thought that it’d be nice to know how to prepare tasty treats that they too can enjoy. Armed with Pinterest, I sifted through recipes that I thought my family (sugar-lovers) would like.
Brownies were the perfect recipe! The brownies turned out moist with a good flavor! There was no trace of bitterness. I’m confident that SweetLeaf Organic Stevia is the go-to for sweet treats when you find yourself unable to use traditional sugar.
SweetLeaf launched their Liquid Stevia Sweet Drops and they were a big hit in my house. The Peppermint Mocha and Pumpkin Spice were a perfect way to jazz up a cup of coffee. Instead of adding many, many pumps of traditional syrup, use two drops for an equally sweet cup of joe. Plus, add a couple of drops to a simple batch of muffins or sugar cookies for a richer taste.
Whereas the Berry, Lemon, and Valencia Orange added a subtle yet tasty flavor to a plain ol’ cup of water WITH ABSOLUTELY NO AFTERTASTE. They’re perfect for making sure your family stays hydrated this summer! Especially for those little family members that might not be inclined to just drink a glass of water as is. Or add a couple of drops into your morning yogurt without adding extra calories.
These drops aren’t just for your sweet tooth either. Try making a delicious lemon spice pasta. Saute garlic and red pepper flakes, then toss pasta with a few drops of lemon and shredded Parmesan. Unbelievably delicious!
