With a Thankful Heart

It seems appropriate to end the month of November with a thankfulness post. While I am thankful for so much — our kids, my husband, my parents, my brothers (and sis-in-laws), and my grandparents– what I am most thankful for is the everyday moments.

Reading a book to our son when he crawls into my lap. Reading it over and over again because he’s not ready for it to end.

Rocking our daughter to sleep a little longer than necessary just to watch her sweet face.

Hanging out with my husband and making each other laugh over nothing but our own silliness.

I am so thankful for time. For the time I get to spend with the ones I love since I know how fleeting these moments can be. How quickly children grow up and how everything constantly moves forward.

So, I’m thankful for the moments that slow it down, like our Thanksgiving gathering where my parents and their best friends work their turkey feathers off to prepare a hearty (heartfelt) meal for everyone. For the meal shared together. For the day that brings family in from out of town.

There is always something to be thankful for and, for me, I’m thankful for every single detail of my life. I’ve been so very blessed. ❤

What are you thankful for?

  1. This made me ready-eyed :’) It’s so true. This year I’m overflowing with gratitude more than normal. SO thankful for my hubby’s perfect health after a 2nd brain tumor surgery. It sounds crazy, but he is in perfect health & I could not be more thankful to God for him & our kids. True Christmas miracles. ❤️
